Like you I am not a survivalist, prepper or hiding out in a bunker. Your thread interested me because I buried some 90% many years ago when we lived in a not so desirable location where houses were continually targeted by the local drug addicts. Let's face it, 90% takes up a lot of space. Even a thousand dollar bag would not fit into a safety deposit box, and who would store it there anyway. Physical gold and silver to me are just insurance in case the people running the show loose control, and I know enough people within the system to know this is not a zero probability. My wife and I moved to a rural area twenty-five years ago. We know everyone within a two mile radius and live on a private gravel road with about a dozen other families. We have an association that maintains the road and gets together once in a while socially. My wife and I both volunteer a lot in the community and because of this have met many fine people. I served my country from 1968-1972, and fortunately did not see any action, at least not up close and personal. There are a few people around here that some would call preppers, but they are decent people and we get along with them. Heck, if things did get out of hand they would be the kind of people I would like to keep close.
