Real or fake, you run in to problems selling bars too. They want to do all these tests, big hassle.

Amen Doug21, we are in the same church, sitting in the same pew, singing out of the same hymnal, expecting salvation any minute.

Box in rounds, drink in bars, STACK JUNK SILVER.

And the Seller's in Hong Kong, didn't that set off a few teeny-tiny alarms?? BTW, the current eBay listing (link shown above in Post #5) now describes the Pan bars as silver-plated...

Well, I am getting all my money back and the seller has been warned for selling counterfeit. I got them from Canada, I would never buy anything off Ebay from Hong Kong, that has fake plastered all over it. How can they even sell those.. I'm sure Pan American wouldn't approve. Isn't that infringement or something along those lines?

When real bars are sold they come in a plastic sleeve. It should be a red flag if somebody takes them out and puts them in a case. What would be the point? Also, these cases don't fit real silver bars. At least you noticed and are getting your money back.

I agree, at least for now. I have seen a couple decent junk wl halves though trying to be passed off though. Keep your eyes open whatever you buy nowadays.

I was a fleabayer for a long time... justt sick of getting fakes. Luckily I always got the refund, but why bother if the bay is never gonna do anything about it? Yesterday was my last bay day. I recently found this site, oxfordbullion.com. They have great prices compared to other online stores. Limited selection, but at least I know they deliver and their stuff is real. Anyone else know of some online silver stores that do honest business and do not gouge you on delivery? I also don't want to wait a month to get my silver if I am paying for it now. I know there are sites that offer free delivery if I buy like $2500 worth of stuff...but that is just not realistic for me.

Actually, I received a stagecoach bar yesterday (purchased from the bay) that was in the plastic holder. The weight was 31.6 grams and it's magnetic (barely). I demanded a refund from the seller. He refunded, but raised a case against me to get the bar back... If I send it back I am in the red. I am just fed up with this garbage and want an alternative. I am asking if anyone knows of a place that we can get a good selection without the headaches. I would really appreciate if anyone could share a good place that offers decent prices and does not gouge on delivery.

How about a local shop or coin show? I see lots of people buying there, and zero shipping charges, with instant delivery.

If I wanted to buy in bulk I would go with Apmex. As for the shipping charges....I really don`t care with silver in the $23 range.....I was buying silver when it was in the 4os. :)

I am a die hard fan of Amagi Metals. Their shipping charges are the best I've found. I just bought 3 ASEs; they cost $3.28 over spot, were at my door in 5 days, and shipping was $2.20 (!)

I like Bullion Direct. They have both a shop and online auction. Their auction fee is 1% which I understands beats E-bay. Their shipping is slow but is insured by Lloyd's. They use to provide free vault storage so you could save up and ship in quantity, however they now have to ship within 30 day of purchase due to federal laws.
