Do you like AGE Proof or Uncirulated?

In the ASE I like the Proof over the uncirculated offered by the Mint.

Has anyone seen both of these in person?
    Which look better?

It seems the uncirculated with a mintage of 5,500 vs proof of 12,600 would be better.

Does the Gold Proof have as much of a mirror finish as the Silver Proof?

    Thank you

    The proofs look better.

Personally I've never been a fan of the uncirculated ASE or AGE coin series. They look almost indistinguishable from the regular business strike, other than the mintmark, and are not worth the premium for me. I think the regular business strike coins look just fine.

I have one ASE proof, just to look at. Otherwise I buy ASEs as cheaply as possible.

Where are you finding the current mintages? The gold proofs have just as much of a mirror finish as the silver proof ASE's and the Proof versions look much better than the uncirculated coins imo. The uncircs are basically the exact same thing as the 1 oz bullion AGE's you can buy pretty much anywhere.
