copper hording?

All this talk of scrap and yellow or red this and dirty or clean that seems very beside the point. Look through the copper bullion auction listings on sites like Ebay. US copper cents are being sold in several pound lots at a premium to face every single day. People on various forums have open offers to buy copper lincoln cents at 1.5X face. I don't hoard these and I certainly don't buy them, but a market exists out there and it seems to have nothing to do with the scrap market.

It seems like a light switch has turned on in copper sales on ebay. Several weeks ago. Copper coins and bars were selling here and there. Within the past week, i've noticed a sharp rise in copper sales.
