Just got a large box of home-made Christmas cookies (as expected) from my daughter in Chicago, who is an excellent cook. Sampled three of the five choices - yummy! And, the new neighbor-lady just brought over a plate of home-made cookie-candies. In keeping with the fine-dining theme, Christmas Eve dinner with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law will be at a fast-food store (maybe Mickey-D's) between the two church services that we will sing at on Christmas Eve.

True story: I had some coins on my desk when my kid was young, then found her teething on an 1818 large cent. It's not like it was clean or anything, but it was the only thing that kept her from crying. Until we got her some of the plastic things you put in the freezer to help with swelling anyway.
