One final bump to Page 1, if y'all don't mind.

Io Saturnalia, one and all! The day has arrived!

I'll likely do the drawing sometime Thursday afternoon (i.e., later today).

I'd like to enter. I Like #7 , "The Widows Mite ". I know little about ancients but I've been attracted to this coin for some time . I enjoyed reading about the story behind it .

@spirityoda - you just squeaked in under the wire, because I was about to fire up the random number generator and do the drawing! Off to do just that, right now.

    Stay tuned!

PS- you didn't mention why you liked that one, but considering your recent thread about the gifts from @tibor, that is plain enough, so I'll let you slide on that requirement. ;)

Maybe you'll win this one, and start a collection of them.

But let me get back to the business of the drawing...

OK, folks, here is the result of the random drawing. The random number generator selected #52.

@CREATIVECRHUNTER - congratulations! It looks like you have a Widow's mite coming, unless you want to change your selection.

I will need your shipping address. Will send you a PM shortly.

PS- oh- and happy birthday, two days belated! (I'm a 12/28 baby, myself.)

Now you can no longer say you've never won a drawing! :)

The funny thing is that if I had won my choice of prize, it wouldn't technically have been my first Roman provincial coin. About a week ago, I actually acquired a Domitian provincial AE from eBay for less than the cost of a fast-food meal.

If anyone is lamenting their missed chance, Giveaway #51 is now launched (on the Contests forum), and includes many of the same coins. Plus some non-ancient World and US coins.
