Very cool of your Chris! FFIVN is excited.

He wants to share his hobo nickel. He searched all over the Baltimore Whitman show trying to find one. This was the only one in his price range but it is a nice original carving.

Here are some Peruvian banknotes. They are pretty cool and rather rare. There are some cool features on the bills, like the numbers on the serial number getting larger, as well as a watermark.

Very cool. Here is one of my favorite hobo nickels I’ve seen so far. It’s not mine but I love the Simpsons. :)

When we were looking, we found several sellers who had machined hobo nickels kind of like that. You can get really good details but FFIVN wanted an original hand-carved one. Unfortunately, those can be quite pricey.

Just a thought… the token reminds me of a 5 pfennig coin from a German state or something similar. Probably late 1800s, early 1900s.

EDIT: it could also be a German POW camp token…
