We’ll have the Round 4 drawing in a little bit, after I wrap up my chores here at work.

Ah i see you work nights too? I’m thankful to only work 4x 10s and have 3 days off

Four 10-hour shifts is a nice schedule. I would like that. I did it once when I worked in a warehouse, in my NC days. Even did three 12’s sometimes.

Yep. Hotel night auditor here. I work five 8-hour shifts, from 11:00 PM through 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday nights.

Tonight (knock on wood) has been exactly the sort of quiet and peaceful night that I love about this job. No drunks or fire alarms tonight. No computer problems.

(Watch- I probably just jinxed myself. LOL) ;)

That’s exactly where im at lol. I’m at one of Targets monstrous Distribution Centers. Making pretty good coin as a warehouse associate even without the $2.50 shift differential (and I love my job, I spent so much time trying to get into an actual “career” and not just a job) but I’m trying to climb to the maintenance tech ranks where the tech 1’s start at $31-35 an hour. I’m pretty confident I can get into Tech 3 making $47-50+ an hour.

LOL I’m hoping it stays that way for you, I love the early morning/late night peace too

@rte I JUST watched an episode of Pawn Stars where I’m pretty positive that’s the same exact coin that Rick was trying to get for almost the same price for one of his clients, I think the dude was asking 40 for it but he managed to get it for $37,500 because the coin belonging to the other guy who had one was cleaned.

Thanks so much Randy! I look forward to learning more about Roman coins. IMG_0268.jpeg IMG_0269.jpeg IMG_0270.jpeg IMG_0271.jpeg IMG_0272.jpeg IMG_0273.jpeg

Yay! Thanks for the update! :)

Technically, we would call that bonus coin that Randy sent you a Byzantine coin rather than a “Roman” coin. But since the Byzantines considered themselves an extension of the Roman Empire (and would not have considered themselves a separate entity as we view them today), you’re not all wrong there.

Just bumped into this episode again, first seller was asking 70K for his 1915-S Pan-Pacific Octagonal $50 (MS62 graded by PCGS, attaching the EXACT coin in the post), Rick got it for $67,500.
Other seller was asking $48,000 because it was improperly cleaned.

Are you talking about Rich Harrison from Pawn Stars? o_O:confused:

Yep, most people call him Rick on the show. You can tell they haven't been the same without him, even Chum looks pretty terrible now.
