There's one factor missing in this discussion, but we'll never know the truth, and, there's no way to find out the truth. Remember that at least 1% of the general population is certifiably mentally ill, and they may believe they are doing wonderful things, or they may see nothing wrong with what they're doing. No doubt the same percentage applies to coin sellers too. If we've had a thousand different coin-sellers on CT since Day One, do the math...
LOL - the real Red Llama is a piece of electronic equipment. Wikipedia says: "Way Huge was launched in 1992 by Jeorge Tripps. In late 1999 the company closed its doors when Tripps went to work for Line 6. In 2008, Tripps and the company moved to Dunlop Manufacturing where the Way Huge line was resurrected, including the Swollen Pickle (a fuzz), Pork Loin (an overdrive), Fat Sandwich (a distortion), and Green Rhino (another overdrive). They have also recently reissued the much sought after and often cloned Red Llama overdrive, notable for its massive volume boost and copious amounts of gain past 2 o'clock and at full gain, a fuzz like texture..." This is all gibberish to me, but some of you musicians may know what it all means.
So, did the affected persons receive their money back? I remember RedLlama first PMing me when he had ZERO posts offering to sell coins to me. I asked him to post photos of the coins, and he posted some weird ad selling in the coin chat forum. To top it off, the coins were blurry. I told him I was completely uninterested... then several months later (after the format of the site changed), he PMed me "Where do we stand on this?" I'm 99.9999999999999999999%, rounded to the nearest pentillionth, positive that he's a scammer.
I too had issues with this guy. I went back and forth thru PM's with him attempting to make a sale on some ASE's & halves. Needless to say it got fishy and I bailed...
@doug444, Those are all guitar effects pedals, or stomp boxes. Amps usually come with basic effects, but if one is after a particular sound or tone- Metallica, Maiden, B.B. King, ZZ Top, he/she would buy a seperate effect pedal tailored to the band's or individual's amplifier settings. Just FYI. @moderator, I'll say nothing more on this. It is CT after all, not GT.
