I've made a few eBay purchases that have been around 14-15x face, so they've been a bit expensive. I've searched around for bettered deals, but I'm not seeing any. Would I have better luck at my LCS? Am I looking in the wrong spots? Thanks everyone.
It can quite reasonably be argued that the "best way" (by which I assume you mean price) is to do the legwork and locate your own buying opportunities, but can be easier said than done, and many are unwilling to make the effort or shoulder the risks. Unfortunately, when it comes to the easy paths, there rarely is a clear cut winner and for what should be obvious reasons.
I Coin Roll Hunt which comes to paying $1.38 an ounce. I also go to coin shows and coin clubs to get close to melt on my 90%.
