My thinking on exotic metals used in high tech is that if new applications are found it would increase the value.

:rollling: Hot lead and cold steel. The war machine will continue to grind out profits for the devil.
You're actually pretty close Ripley. Best metal to invest in ? Scrap iron. Think I'm crazy ? Go look. Scrap iron increased 500% in 2008 - 1 year. And it's on its way to a new high now.
Scrap Iron is through the roof at 15 cents per pound. I bought 2 tons of it with my change from buying a double cheeseburger.
You can find lots of scrap iron on this site... http://www.govliquidation.com/index.html Note all the PVC pipes...great for guys burying their coins! :thumb: Doug...this might be right up your alley...(Check out the video...) 8 each C5A engines weighing approx 10,900 lbs each. None of that is going to help you when Yellow Stone goes up, or in the post-Nuclear Winter. The question was which precious metal to invest in, sperious enough as that topic for a coin forum, let alone how one will shoot his way through the "coming worldwide economic collapse" or the script for the next sequel of Mad Max
Since copper is so hard to manage in investment quantity, Take a look at JJC, a leveraged ETF. If you believe copper will go up, you can either buy the stock or options, although I think it is temporary due to Foreign exchange rate with the USD, as not much increase yet in industrial demand. If you just like accumulating, physical copper will be hard to liquidate when you wish.
Any sources where I can buy copper bullion bars on the cheap, like 1.5x melt? If possible 100 1 oz rounds, or ten ten oz bars
