ATB sets AVAILABLE $937

Perhaps there is some timeline that the approved Mint Contractors have in dispersing their allotment to the general public. Might be worth a call to Mr. Hunt and pose the question directly to him.

Did any of you order them from APMEX at their recent offering of $979? Placed my order and just wanted to see if anyone else had any comments about their coins

 

I placed an order but have not received them yet. Pretty cool that they are slabbed.

 

APMEX will ship on May 13. Sit tight!

 

My Apmex order online shows an estimated ship date of 4/26. Are they incorrect?

 

When I called them Monday, the lady told me they would not ship until the 13th. I hope she was wrong and that your date is right.

 

Yeah, they don't make it clear at all. The site and the customer service people say 5/13 and the order says 4/26. Hope it is sooner rather than later.

 

My AMPEX order said 04/20/2011. I haven't received any shipping notice or tracking number, so I'll guess that date was computer generated and not valid. With Silver going up in price, I wanted to see the AMPEX quality compared to my other set. I was going to sell that one since it is not graded but wanted to verify these to be of the same grade. Heck, I might be happy with just spot when selling.

 

Seems Dillon Gage website has been down for the past day... Anyone has any idea?

 

Sold my Jack Hunt graded set for $1,800 yesterday ($1,665 after fees). Have to love that: in on Wednesday for $950.50 including the charge for the money order, out on Friday for a $715 net profit. Figured I'd flip them before all the Apmex graded sets hit the market.

Still waiting on Prudential, Dillon Gage, and Apmex.

I did receive a most generous offer of $1,000 for a raw set that I have listed on Craigslist. Pointed out to him that was > $150 under melt and got the reply "Yeah but I have to make a profit, I don't buy retail". Mmmmmmkayyyy.

 

I guess Craigslist is full of surprises.

 

damn the ones i got were terrible. i got mine in the bubble envelopes. guess it doesnt pay to send things out early. i dont think i will ever buy anything from them again

That's the odd thing. IIRC the sale started on a Friday and they had my money order on Saturday morning. How soon you ordered or sent the payment seems to have no bearing on when your order shipped or what you received.

 

Yeah I'm in the same boat with Urbanchemist... The ones I got from Jack Hunt were so so condition with crappy bubble mailers. I am really hoping that the Dillion Gage sets I get is NGC graded 69... That would be Fing sweet. I did put together a set of my poorest condition coins and traded them and $400 last weekend for a $30 Australian "Year of the Tiger" 1 Kilo Silver Coin... if you can call a 32oz hunk of silver a coin

 

My APMEX order says the "estimated" ship date was yesterday (22Apr2011), but the "actual" ship date is blank. When I look at my order status it says..."Order Status: Checked into B Vault"...whatever that means. :scratch:

 

I hope the "B" vault is a good one!!!

 

They are closed for the Easter Holiday and probably doing site maintenance.

 

geeee, just notice that the airtite holders for ATB are actually not cheap. the cheapest on fleabay is $13 for 5 of them. I guess the hype extends beyond the coins.
