    Same thing happened to me last weekend. The kid gave up his Saturday to hang out with Pop's. He has never really shown much interest in coins. While there he fell in love with a few owls.

    Shop it around. My next door neighbor had some one ounce American Gold Eagles he wanted me to help him to sell. A dealer a couple of towns over was paying 95% of melt. I was surprised when the local dealer offered 100%. This was when the price was in the $2,700 neighborhood.
