I just received a "D" box today which was

Congrats, Jack! Did your box literally have a "D" on it? If so, this is a new one. So far, all we've seen is "A", "B", "C", or nothing at all.

 

Good job, Jack! Looks like they just keep getting better and better. I guess good things do come to those who wait. Now I'm waiting for somebody to get a set of 69DMPL.

 

My APMEX box was identical, arrived yesterday. Yep, it was a good packaging job. Two BU PCGS, one MS68 PCGS, two MS68PL PCGS. Not bad at all, they are on eBay closing Saturday.

 

PS Yep, big A on the side of the box.

I stopped by Modern Coin Mart this afternoon to drop off a coin for grading. Just for grins, while I was there, I was talking to 1 of their buyers and was telling him what I received from AMPEX. I asked him what he would pay for such a set. His reply was $1,500.00. Just thought I 'd mention it if anyone was looking for a value gauge.

 

From reading the posts here, I feel very fortunate! I recieved my APMEX order yesterday. It had a "D" on the inside box, with:
Hot Springs MS69
Yellowstone MS69PL
Yosemite MS69PL
Grand Canyon MS68DMPL
Mount Hood MS69DMPL

I'm pretty happy!

 

Yeah well personally I will NEVER do business with APMEX again. It is totally unfair to segregate the packages into such classes based on previous customer relationships. It's almost like saying "We sure don't want any new customers, let's make sure we do everything we can to alienate any prospects." I am happy for everyone who got better stuff such as Proper Stranger above, please don't get me wrong. APMEX, ping!

 

Just got mine, 2 ms69 (Hot springs and Yosemite) the rest were ms68dmpl. I have been an acct. holder 2 years with only 1 previous transaction. Didn't notice a code on the box.

 

I had to turn mine around a couple of times to notice it, a little letter in magic marker on the side. Congratulations mill rat41!

 

Sure enough, there is a c on the box.

 

Sounds like yours were incrementally better than mine, a "B" box - 1 68PL, 3 68 DMPL, 1 69PL. Good coins, but makes me wish I'd opened an account a long time ago - even if I just sat on it!
