So I'm confused. I just received an advertisement for a '2021 1 oz American Silver Eagle BU (Type 2)' starting at $40.87 from APMEX:
    https://www.apmex.com/product/229429/2021-1-oz-american-silver-eagle-bu-type-2

But when I look up the ASE on the usmint site, I see it was selling for $73.00 when it was available:
    https://catalog.usmint.gov/american-eagle-2021-one-ounce-silver-proof-coin-21EA.html

Are these not the same coin or did it just fall in value drastically from when the usmint was selling back in Feb? I'm thinking maybe it's this Type 2 (whatever that is) that's the difference - is that the upcoming sale later this month?

Sorry for the newbie question - this is confusing me.

Ah, I see. So the Westpoint mint is the rarity that increases the price. Sounds reasonable - thanks for clarifying.

You're right. Didn't even see that. I need to be more observant on what is advertised. Thanks again.
