It might work, and it might not. I was at the Charlotte coin show last weekend and got the impression the silver dealers were sitting on a lot of expensive silver which they bought up when silver was running up to $50. They didn't seem to be that willing to wheel & deal that much at least on ASEs. The premium on ASEs was breath taking. It was a little better on Maples since they are not as high in demand. If you are not particular about your silver, foreign circulating coinage was going for melt. Most likely a lot of the same dealers will be at the upstate show. It might be easier to do a deal on gold.

I might run down there myself next Friday as that usually seems to be a pretty good show.

Thats good to know Fatima. I am not picky about silver. I like Eagles, Maples, Austrians, Libertads. I like official silver backed by countries. The Eagles are nice but I have to many and would like to expand. I'm not crazy about rounds and and junk silver is not my thing really.

It never hurts to try Dinero. :) That's what I plan on doing Sunday, if they don't like my offer all they have to do is say no and I will move on to the next table. No harm, no foul.:)

I went down today to the show. A lot of the prices were outrageous but I did fill 3 holes in my Morgan books and upgraded another. I picked up a 1879P BU, 1880P BU DMPL, NGC MS64 1885CC and a PCGS MS64 1901O. I am happy with my new additions.
