Anyone gone from coin collecting to "bullion collecting"?

I personally think you can't go wrong with ASEs. The small premium you pay over spot is nothing compared to what you would pay for other coins. You get BU or Proof quality coins with more silver for less than you would pay for a morgan or peace dollar. I might buy a circulation coin if it's particularly attractive, but I'm not really interested in completing any sets at this point...I like Bisons and that's not worth anything in regards to metal content. They do tone well though. It isn't practical for me to assemble a complete year/mintmark/error whatever set...I just buy what happens my way, whatever I must have that day.

Originally I bought billions for investment but I lost interest in it. I have switched out and started acquiring world gold/silver coins granted you need to do your due diligence. But I find its worth it, anyone else doing the same?

With the billions in bullion, you should be able to afford a very nice collection. ;)

It must be nice to be independently wealthy. Where can I get my billions at?

The problem I have is that all coins are coins and deserve to be collected. This is why I can never finish any sets, but I have 10 going at the same time

I've shifted from bullion stacking to clad coin collecting, at least until 2012.

I started in copper and moved to silver in 2005. I love silver coins but not because of the increase in silver value. It is nice though so I might be a maybe.

I'm dabbling in everything. Lately, been trying to finish off the silver proof sets back to 1992.
