I've been very pleased with Provident Metals.

Provident are a competitive service to Apmex. I believe they offer slightly less s/h costs, they use less shipping supplies, which may be how they cut that corner for customers. Provident also take PayPal as a form of payment, but any form of credit incurs a surcharge, so be aware of the various forms of payment. A check or money order is the best way to avoid credit payment surcharges and the delivery time is not impacted that much while funds are in the mail and your purchase on its way to you.

    Give them a try.

I have been using them for over 1 year. Never had a problem with an order if it was big or small. Their prices seam to be in line and the S/H cost is also pretty good. If I am buying some items for the Grandkids and want to do engraving I use a few different site that do engraving at a fair price. Sometimes we have to bite the bullet and pay alittle more to put a simle on the little one's faces.

I have ordered several times, only had 1 problem (order short 2 half's) but that was taken care of promptly. Overall I would recommend them highly.

maybe. but then what will you be paying less for? secure shipping? customer service? forced to buy larger quantities to get lower premiums over spot?

cheaper in general should probably be sought: buying at a coin show from dealers, from a brick&mortor coin/bullion dealer, from someone here selling in the Classifieds or from taking advantage of eBay Bucks or Bing type cash back rebates when buying on eBay.
