It was a good day for GOLD and my hunting trip to Costco in St George , Utah, not only is GOLD at $2,822.00 per oz but there selling it at $2,829.00 that means I only paid a $7 premium per once and thats just crazy ! so basically how it works thru my Costco spy network...LOL, They purchase GOLD in batches let say they buy 100 1 oz bars they lock that price in on those bars until there sold, no increases or decreases on there price. The twist, this is the first time I have seen 10 oz silver bars at a ridiculous price of $319.99 was going to pick one up but I stopped stacking silver years ago just because it takes up to much room.
Leave it to UTAH, they probably charged sales tax on the .0001 copper in the bar other wise Utah is non taxable on gold and silver over 50% Pure. Note: if you read the receipt, he purchased a 3rd item that was taxable. Great deal on the 10 ounce silver bars. Should have picked up 10 and flipped for a profit to someone else who doesn't have a Costco membership.
You should probably go back and buy all of the silver... that is actually under spot, and way less than 10 oz bars are going for. Currently they are in the $360 - $370 range: https://www.apmex.com/product/27087/10-oz-silver-bar-apmex
Great buys as the gold price is on fire at $2842 right now, super exciting times for gold stackers! Gold ounces are tax free in Utah and California, maybe other States as well!
Precious metals are tax free in many states. South Carolina is one. If you buy precious metals, you absolutely should know the laws in your state.
No tax, your only paying a small premium, when it comes to GOLD and silver there's no better deal out there
yeah thats a tough premium to beat especially the way they do things at Costco just checked and they have the same price up and GOLD already went up another $20.
Shoot me a PM if you are considering getting a new Capital One card, I'll send you a referral link and we could possibly both make some bonus money. Depending on which card you choose, you could potentially get an additional $200+? sign up bonus for spending the same cash as you are now.
I totally understand the silver vs gold weight issue IF you can really call it an issue it's more of a personal problem. I thought everyone was required to have their weight in silver I picked up a gold Krugerrand yesterday at the local coin club meeting...it's been awhile since I got a Krugerrand and this 1/50th ounce is massive it will make a good test piece when we go out nugget detecting.
personal problems are my specialty...LOL, maybe one of these days I might just give in and get 1 thousand oz silver bar
