Delivery confirmation just means that the item went out on the scheduled delivery route with the postal carrier, and that the postal carrier placed the item in a mailbox for pickup...it doesnt mean that they confirmed delivery to the recipient; that's signature confirmation. So the postal carrier could've accidentally put it in one of youre neighbors boxes or someone could've stole the item from your box. But from the post offices perspective, the item was delivered.
