I guess everyone will have different experiances with different dealers. Years ago I ordered a roll of B.U. 1964 Kennedy halfs from them. They were mostly spotted coins (water spots it appeared) and the roll was missing one coin. Spotted coins are not BU in my opinion. I wrote to them and got the nastiest letter in the world. They took them back but never again. it seems from above that Ampmex is just getting to big for their brithes. I'm also not fond of the term PQ or premium quality coins that most of the big dealers with the splashy ads use. These companies are not grading in the MS fashion at all and you are taking a chance that they are heavily bag marked, rubbed or just borderline BU and AU coins. I've had some good luck from Skyline I'll say but I'm always on guard. I send bank money orders but it can still take up to a month to get my order. Coin shops were 30 miles south and north of me so for years I've had to order by mail but a new local shp opened in nearby Canaan,Ct.called Canaan Coins and Precious Metals, operated by Nick and Heather Bartow and I'm finally getting some relief from all the postage costs and long waits. So if you are ever in the Northwest corner of Ct. stop by, say hello and looksee what they are offering. Their email is CANAANCoins@hotmail.com. Really nice folks!
