Just ordered the Mount Rushmore from the mint. Will it be the most popular/highest mintage this year?
I really like the Mount Rushmore design, but even with reduced silver prices, it's a lot to pay for one "coin"...at least with my budget.
I'm in for it since I've got the rest. I still liked the Acadia the best but I'm from Maine originally.
I don't own any yet, but have loved them since I found out about them. I just think it'd be cool to show off some 5oz silver rounds lol.
I agree about 2014 having some attractive designs and I am looking forward to them. My 2013 choices in descending order would be White Mountain, Great Basin, Fort McHenry, Mount Rushmore and Perry's Victory.
I've been in since the beginning. Both bullion and sp issues. The bullion is somewhat close to spot so I think its worth picking up a few.I really like the Mt. rushmore design and will be buying a full tube 2 at a time.
I don't know, this is a popular one, sold over 14k of the 25k in the first 3 days - maybe gone by the end of the year or sooner.
So when they sell the 25k it's just done? Then you can buy the bullion version if you miss out right? Sorry really new to this. Jeff
Yes, once they're sold out you can no longer order the P version from the mint. The bullion version is not available to purchase direct from the mint. You would need to order that from a bullion dealer. I'd suggest Provident for these. If you order singles from them they come in a capsule, or at least the previous ones I got did and the price and shipping is pretty reasonable from them. In fact shipping is free if you order an item off their free shipping list.
Is the Fort McHenry really still for sale from the mint ? Would have expected it to go faster I guess.
Actually, the only ones that sold their max mintage were all 5 of the 2010's. The mint ended sales for the others before the stated max mintage was reached. So, will the mint actually sell up to 25k of the Mount Rushmore or will they end sales before, or will they make more than 25k, who knows? Other than processing orders, the mint has terrible customer service when it comes to following through on commitments or letting it's customers know what's going on. I think for some twisted reason, the mint believe this gives them a profit advantage, when it actually discourages collectors from ordering from them.
The sales on the first couple of days of this coin surprised me. It sold nearly double the other 4 pucks in the first week of sales. Based on this demand, it may sell out before Christmas. Will it peak interest in the remaining pucks?
To me they are worth the $31 per ounce the mint charges or $155 per puck. I have purchased the last 4 issues and plan to get the rest as well.
I actually like the pucks and I"m considering starting to collect them, they do seem to be at least holding their initial value also.
I'm on the subscription plan for these I'm just getting one of each. Missed out of a few like 2010s and Hawaii... that one stung wasn't expediting it to sell out early it was way under 25k. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
