Okay, I have to admit I am confused. I am going to post a coin from a place "halfway" between Thailand and Mongolia just to be safe.

I see on a map that Yunnan borders Vietnam, so here goes...

 

Headed right next door to Cambodia

 

Malaysia, straight shot across the Gulf of Siam

 

Sarawak.

 

British North Borneo

 

North to Hong Kong

 

And Macao.

 

I checked the map and its a straight shot south to Brunei - 2006 2 pounds

 

Well that's amusing. That is a U.K. commemorative of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Isambard K. Brunel.

 

Thank you, I see now I was in error thinking this coin was from Brunei. What an amazing man this Brunel was!
