From Hong Kong to the Republic of China, or Taiwan, or Formosa . . . with this ten-fen (a dime, so to speak) dated year-44 - 1955. Has google maps always identified the island as Taiwan? I would swear it indicated ROC at one point. Hmmmm . . . .

 

Ilha Formosa the Portuguese called it. Beautiful Island. I love that place, have visited at least 50 times, been all over the island.
