Funny. Now that I think about it, I never did come across a coin from India from general circulation. Interesting coin.

 

A phone token. Wonder if I did get a name from the bus and a coin to call but couldn’t figure out how to use the street phone. Man things were tough before cell phones.

This is like a major edit. I was going to take us to Botswana because (1) lots of options and (2) less likely that I've ever posted this one; 1998 five-thebe. However . . .. I noticed that is where we just came from. So . . . Mozambique it is with this here colonial 2.5 escudos from 1954.
