No apology needed. At least you are awake and aware, in addition to being a prolific poster of neat coin pix! We are all here to have fun and perhaps learn something now and then.
1961 Netherlands Antilles 1 Cent 1,000,000 Minted for this year This is actually one of my favorite coins, the reeded edge on a cent was always interesting to me.
GB 1701 halfpenny with the GV struck over a B in the obverse legend. Presumably the engraver started the reverse legend and corrected the error. Fairly dire, but the best of the three examples I have found in the past 15 years.
GB 1696 shilling struck at Chester. The obverse die has the C cut over an E which means the London made pre-prepared die for Exeter was changed to a C and sent to Chester to cover a shortage. The reverse die also has no stops which is only recorded at Chester in 1697.
GB. The William & Mary equivalent to the 1701 halfpenny error higher up this page. This time a 1694 halfpenny with GV over B in the obverse legend. It appears that forgetting which side of the coin you were working on was a common problem.
