    Muzyck Rabbits!

I recently got one that looks just like that in a mixed batch! :( It looks like some some "clever" person dipped the normal bronze strike in gold paint and put a nice shellac finish on top :bored:

A BU one. I think they were bronze. I usually expect bronze to look more like copper but I got a Mozambique bronze Escudo recently that is almost yellow.

I sent mine to be slabbed, it came out MS-67. I think it must be a common coin.

Since we're sharing our Katanga stories, here's mine. I got this one as a gift from a military friend; however, someone decided to put solder on the back. That made my OCD kick in and I therefore had to get a better one.

As luck would have it (for me), some ebay seller was either going out of business or just wanted to unload a slew of coins. I purchased over 400 coins from him at a very low cost. Among that mother load, were two Kantagas - the following 1961 one and five francs (both bronze - KM 1 & 2).

Thank you for tolerating my long winded story.

So, before I get lost, I will take us all to Tanzania from Kantaga (DRC) with this 1990 50-senti (KM 26).

When I was a kid, I always wanted a "Komodo Dragon" as a pet. Now, that I am grownup.....a think not;)
They look cumbersome and kinda cute, but in fact they can be ornery and quick on their feet, and they bite:(
