I will follow with a weird shaped hammered coin from Rohilla year 13 Najidabad Mint Nawabs of Awadh circa 1770-90
I concur with coin_nut - feeling like a "cheap Charlie." Although, added to that, there is lots of "envious Ernie" too! I would love to view panzerman's entire collection. It must be garden of gold! I'll get us out of the subcontinent and move us over to Oman with a 1989 25-baisa (KM 45a).
Axumite Empire (present day Ethiopia/ Eritrea/ Somalia/ Oman/ Qatar/ part of UAE/ and Yemen AV Unit ND NM Endybis 270-300AD Back to DEA, might not be a garden of gold, but maintaining lawns/ gardens allowed me to buy all of my coins
I'm in the wrong line of work, panzerman! Keep 'em coming! From Palestine I will take us to Egypt with this 1943 10-milliemes (KM 361). That's King Farouk glancing to his right. I wonder if he's looking for that 1933 double eagle!?!
Not to be picky, but is that not 1976 on the Sudanese? AH 1396, right? I'm not going to try to remember Ethiopian numerals. They got their own thing going with counting years.
You are correct! Thanks, the slab had the wrong date Seems TPG botch up a lot on coin details, nevermind the fact, that their data on coins ruler/ mint/ are MIA. This is esp. true for NGC. PGGS does a better job at grading/ data
AV 5 Francs 1961 Katanga One of my first coins/ got it from Santa when I turned 11 Good way to get a kid hooked on coins!
