A very special coin for a very special girl..my daughter :)

As some of you know I like to associate coins with personal life events birthdays
anniversaries and such and I usually use
1 OZ GOLD Krugerrands to achieve that
unfortunately some dates are just impossible though I have been able to
to this with my 3 sons born 1982, 89, 91
I have been able to do that with my daughter born in 2001 ironically this is
the lowest production date not much more then the proofs and there like a
needle in the hay stack !

I like to cycle a different GOLD coin each
month between liberties, Saints and eagles and buffalos, so this month it was
an eagle so in looking around I was shocked to find this coin
2001-W PR70DCAM what perfect way to
celebrate my daughters birth this has
a total population of only 485 ! now
that’s truly a needle in the hay stack !

I have found many people stick tp one thread body since its a bullion coin and a US Coin put it in both threads.

 

A 485 population isn’t considered rare.

 

If its a small number like 485 it what? just means there was not very many made that year. So to me they would be more valuable cause of mintage. not rarity then?? or am I way offfffff.

 

485 in PCGS PR70, so it’s a pretty small
number in that grade and since I only
collect PCGS slabs it’s a great pick up

 

If there’s always one available on eBay it’s not rare…I have Liberatads with populations of under 20.
