Turned the TV on and Judge Judy was holding forth. Before I changed the channel, I saw they were discussing a silver sale last year. Some guy had bought the $9.99 silver in three separate on-line transactions and sold them to a dealer who subsequently found they were fake (gee...who'd uv thunk it). The judgement was, of course, for the dealer, and the seller was ordered to pay him back. What Judge Judy said was interesting, she said anyone who thought they were buying legitimate silver at $9.99/oz must have a single digit IQ... My thought was what kind of dealer would have bought these.
To be fair... Judge Judy isn't known for having the brightest people in the world on the show. Me and my grandfather used to watch, and its just like Steve Wilkos: You get to laugh at the stupid people for being so stupid, then they make themselves look more stupid by arguing on TV.
I don't know how she got the job (TV) but after working Brooklyn Law I suppose she's seen every angle and nuance of judicial chicanery, and takes a dim view of folks tryin' to 'work' the system.......
