So, in their minds, the only answer to "real wealth" is physical PM. For me, I saw PM going up then crash spectacularly, then spend 20 years doing nothing. I guess that is the baseline for my opinions on PM. It makes it more understandable to me where they are coming from. However, just like I was wrong in the early 2000's when I saw PM going up thinking it was unsustainable, I would argue their world view that only PM is a valid source of wealth is also wrong.
