Don't worry about it. I am more than happy to help another fellow.

About the coin value, there is no consensus about it. Just your your own instinct and assume that all coins are of 70. In my case, bullion ~300, burnished W ~200, burnished S ~800, proof W ~300, and reverse proof P ~800. Total per set will thus be ~2400 or ~ 12000 per 5 sets.

Mind you, USPS insurance are ~36.xx up to 5K and ~50.05 between 5K to 15k. I decided to go overboard, since the insurance is the same up to 15K.

Bottom line, you are the only one who can decide the insurance value for your coins. I guess most people value their coins ~5K total.

    DW-coins Slave to coins...

Placing a value of $12000 for the 5 sets will increase the cost of return shipping. I would aim to get the price below NGC's shipping cut off.

One more thing, make sure that NGC receives your package by dec 8th for early release. Not post mark!

    I think it's Dec 7th.

"I would aim to get the price below NGC's shipping cut off."

What is that? Is it at the end of the submission form?

When you send by registered mail, it includes insurance up to $50K. Same postage if insured for $1.00 or $50,000.00.

Mine also way delivered same date (Sat 11/26) at 4:41 pm - which surprised me because I didn't think they were open on Saturday - but I'm glad it's in their hands and not in the hands of the USPS anymore :hail:

My sets received Tuesday 11/22 at 12:59pm by usps.com site. As of now, still not showing as "received" yet on NGC website. Hopefully they will today. I know with the Thanksgiving holidays they are probably behind but I will give them until tomorrow before I call.

kd13 - nice results, 17 70s, 3 69s - and the 69s are the easy (and not expensive) to replace W's so you could actually assemble 4 sets of 70 for not too much extra. Congrats!

Do you all think the price of these sets has been crashing because so many sets are being graded 70s?

I don't think it has helped but I also think the holiday weekend/black friday/cyber Monday timing hasn't helped either. Everyone has limited disposable income so it may be being redirected now. I would think they will tick back up into the first weeks of December. just my opinion though. :)

I don't think it has much to do with the 70s being handed out - it is a simple matter of supply and demand... There are a lot of people who bought these to flip, and most of those sets are coming out right now - the same thing happened with the UHR $20 gold coins two years ago. Those coins, which were selling for slightly over mint price in 2009 and even for a while after they went off sale, are now selling for $3000 for ungraded examples and $4500+ for 70s.

There are literally millions of people who collect ASEs, and remember there are only 100k of these sets available. If you can hold on to these for a year or two, I think you will see these sell for very high premiums again. If I had the funds available to pick up some sets now while the prices are lower because of the people flooding the market I would - but I will sit on the sets I did buy and let the prices appreciate, except for maybe selling a set or two of 69s if I can get a decent price - meaning I am not setting these up at $9.99 start bids - I am asking for what I want - if I get it great, if not I will wait.

For what's it's worth, I'm an economist by training so I think I have a reasonable take on supply and demand fluctuations (at least I hope so).

I didn't even consider the black Friday/cyber Monday timing - that also can easily further supress prices.
