Maybe so. The dealer that I mentioned before now says the issue date will be 15 March. (Yes, this year ...) Christian
About the same as any other bullion. But these will be marketed as numismatic coins. So will carry a higher premium. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am a fan of the Krugerand coin but paying anything over $2.00 to $ 3.00 for it is something I have to convince myself to do.
I'm sure it's going to be way more than that. The coin is going to be marketed/sold as a commemorative/numismatic coin not as bullion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The German dealer that I mentioned before currently has a price tag of €37.50 (they would like to sell an entire "Fab Fifteen Collection" of silver coins) and an estimated delivery date of, umm, "in five to six weeks". Will see whether they come before Christmas. Christian
About $40 dollars. I hope it's less but probably would still buy. This would be my first Krugerrand/SA coin Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am plan on buying a few of these as long as the price is right. McM usually are pretty good in pricing, but to them selling in Slab might be much higher than most places.
Such a hype for this coin. We have been waiting since October 2016 to hear of its North American release. I have lost interest in this one.
I might want one of the proofs, but I'm guessing with 15,000 mintage, it will be more than I want to pay.
So we wait a few more months. Not a big issue for me. Rather have a "problem free" coin versus one with bag/strike marks. [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I bought a gold Krugerrand in 1977. And didn't find out who the fat guy was on the obverse or the name of the leopard chow on the reverse until I got on the internet. So I guess I can wait a bit longer for the silver version. I just don't know why it takes so long to figure out how to package something.
How interesting, initially they were saying the mintage for the premium uncirculated (or whatever fancy new term they came up with to justify the crazy premium) was 1 millon and now I'm seeing 500,000. I guess someone got the memo that people are not going to scramble to overpay for a silver coin if there are a million expected to be floating around.
