Seems like yesterday, but then again, everything does when ya get to my age.........

 

Looking forward to picking up a silver...unfortunately I'll have to skip the 50 oz gold coin

 

I'm sure our friends in China will be cranking them out as soon as they get their hands on one to copy.

 

Would love to get one. Has anyone read about any US coin dealers that will be selling the silver bullion version? I'll be checking around. Hopefully I'll find a dealer that will carry them!!!

I don't collect foreign coins but I think I could really dig on a first-year silver proof.

 

The proof version maybe too expensive. Probably will just get the bullion version

The coin also has a denomination, R1. I believe this is a krugerrand, 'first.'

 

I want one. It will be my first Krugerrand.

 

I'll be in for one. I'm a big BIG fan of the Kruggerand.

 

I'm all over the 50 oz. gold. ( I'll look at a picture of one anyway. ) LOL.

Speaking of gold coins, does any body know of a good site where one can get current prices for World Gold Coins. I have been using NGC for some reference, although they don't list that many and stop at S on the list. Thanks

I’ve been searching every so often to see if anyone is selling the silver coin yet. I came across this link:

It looks like Gov Mint is going to be the North American distributor. I submitted my email to receive notifications on the silver krugerrand. Hopefully I’ll be able to get one of the bullion coins.

 

I Wonder If they needed a new press for the 50oz. That's INSANE!

 

South Africa - the SA Mint, and the Rand Refinery - will be the guest of honor at the World Money Fair in February by the way. Seems that the Krugerrand's 50th anniversary will be featured there too.
