I had a special note, I have searched here for a thread by me about this note and could not find it so I am starting another. I know its rare, and somewhat valuable but I am thinking about slabbing it so my kids will know it is special. I am also considering trading it but that would be tough to find the right person whom would want it. Anyhow, what are the thoughts of value or collectability on something like this?
I am sorry, I did have a thread on this one already, couldn't find it but came up on a google search. I did try, off to read that one for clues. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/go...f-00010000-is-this-special-in-any-way.280334/ Well that kind of shows me this is not that large a deal. Sadly but that is ok as it is still a neat thing to have. Does anyone know the cost of slabbing a note? A neat site with information on these types of bills. https://rarest.org/stuff/dollar-bills
The actual grading fee at PMG is $20 to grade a single, modern note. You also have shipping fees and you need to be a member to submit. Most collectors with a single note to grade take it their local coin shop for assistance. Good luck, cool note.
I will have to go to a coin store I guess, its 50 miles and not open when I can get there..... It will have to wait I guess but the $20 tells me what I needs to know. It would be worth it, and would break up the set but still worth it so I can make sure it is noted by the family later if I do not trade or sell it. Thanks Steve.
