Once they ship and collectors have them in hand, the secondary prices on ebay and such will start coming down. There was a very small window for collectors to flip these and make money and when the Mint released those 2000 ones early, that window was basically closed. By the time that collectors have these in hand, then send them out to be graded, the profit margin would have dropped or virtually disappeared. I ended up buying three more off the web site last night, but I will eventually get one with the ANA label, not for any potential value, but to remember that trip.
Very competitive secondary market sales are heating up. NGC and PCGS 70's of the RP Buffalo are going for less than $1900 from at least two different big retailers now. At these prices, I'd expect Mint order cancellations to explode.
Modern Coin Mart has the RP Buffalo ~ RP 70 @ $2099 and RP 69 @ $1849 Credit Card price. Take $50 off for a wire transfer of cash, that's not to bad.
MCM just sold out of a limited 30 piece offer on the PCGS 70 RP Buffalo at $1,879...announced on another forum. Pays to keep your eyes open. BTW, I've canceled my Mint order...
I have not heard anything bad about them. Boy at these prices many flipper/re-sellers are going to be dissapointed.
the ANA Chicago coins kinda changed things. those were a great flipping opportunity. I just want one raw RP to collect.
Yea you are right about that, I wish I would have been there I only live 1 1/2 hrs. away ~ dang. I can't see spending $2500 plus to get 1 though.
Damn can't beat that price(goldmart) , I'm in for one. I also have two on order from the mint at the $1640 price. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
I posted a couple of days ago that the US Mint Might increase the price again come Wed. and they surely did. Sorry you missed out before they did so
