This was the only way I could get through and I had to press 5 for customer service to order two sets on back order scheduled for July delivery.

Well since they are back ordered till the middle of June, why order today? Guess I will wait till next week and put the new 5 oz ATB on the same order and save the shipping.

It's easy to tell your whole order # when you give out the last 5 numbers.

414 are the first 3 numbers of those orders.

Ah well, so much for June delivery.

 

Ordered at 3:36 EST. Expected shipping now 7/27/13.

 

So my order status says "Suspended". Now I also ordered a regular ASE proof to go with it since I haven't gotten one yet. Would you guess the suspended status is just because part of the order is in stock and the other part is on backorder?

edit: nevermind, it now says open Expected ship date 7/25 (Ordered about 10 min ago)

 

I logged into my account a few minutes before the set went on sale. Once 9am came I refreshed the page and put in my order. Took me about 10-15 minutes. I guess I got lucky after reading some of the other posts here!!!

 

Didn't work for me.. I was there when the "add to cart" first appeared and when trying to add quantity the server suddenly came to a screeching halt. Wasn't getting anywhere, so, gave up. Saw they took down the server. Tried again 3 hours later and server was back online and seemed pretty snappy, so, I placed the order.

 

I plan on ordering several in late May early June so I can get an idea of the mintage, but I'm not sure now.
The fact that these coins are selling so quickly sounds like a high mintage, but I'm worried the Mint might say that they're having minting issues and suspend sales.... Any thoughts?

 

I ordered 2 WP Proof sets, A sliver proof set, a regular Proof set & a Silver AS Proof coin. They say they will upgrade the shiping on orders over $300.

 

That is what I plan to do. I have several items on my wish list and I combine orders whenever possible.

 

Yeah, I know but I don't think the nonsense that went on with the UHR will happen with this issue.

 

Mine is on order can't wait to see these...

 

Okay, here are some thoughts.

First, take a valium as quickly as you can.

Second, it's the first day of sales, so OF COURSE sales are going to be brisk. What else would you expect? Taking into account all of the OCDers and the sets needing to have the misnamed First Strike designation, we are talking beaucoups sets.

Third, if the Mint would suspend sales early and reneg on its original proclamation, it wouldn't sit well at all with collectors. Oh, wait, they have reneged on many things in the past. Nevermind, then, forget this thought.

Fourth, I am not a psychic, but the mintage of this set will settle at somewhere between 200-250,000.

Fifth, if you can't find a valium, you can substitute a Xanax.
