Over the past few years, the China Silver Panda has increased in mintage from 600,000 to 6,000,000 and then a projected 8,000,000 this year. The premium for the 2012 Panda is greater than it has ever been for a newly-released regular Panda issue. The better dealers are selling them raw for about $48.00. Last year at this time, we were able to purchase them for about $43.00 and silver was $36.00 an ounce.

I think this situation brings home 2 important points.
