I am becomming such a Canadian Coinage lover. Especially the bullion. The rounds are 2nd to none in the world in my opinion. Such sick designs, with Queen Elizebeth. Does anyone buy colored rounds with the maple leaves?
I'm not a big fan of having Queenie on the front of every coin either, but I'm not sure I would necessarily call the designs "sick".
Jan 31st, 2012, the day this thread was started as that's how I learned about them. Yeah, I'm pleased, they're cool coins. They come in a flip in direct fit air-tite holder. Picture isn't great, taken with phone. Wife took off with better DSLR camera.
Mine ended up arriving today as well. I think the coin looks awesome. Worth the shipping charge to me.
Also got my three yesterday, very nice coins but the packaging could have been better. I mean I paid for three coins they could have given me three covers instead of putting them all in one cover.
Those covers are over sized though and appear to be made to put the 3 coins into one cover. I'll keep the cover but the coin is going elsewhere. If they sent them each in one of those covers, I'd be tossing them then and that's just wasteful to me.
Well when your giving it as a gift it's nice to have the cover for each one which also serves as the Coa instead of just handing someone a coin.
I just got mine. From what I can see on the reverse, the coins are perfect! I love this design. Cons: It's really nice looking to have three (with the reverses showing) lined up neatly in a COA folder, but the moment you take one out, then the folder becomes less liked. It looks like each has a flip that is "glued" to the folder, so it doesn't move, with each coin encapsulated and put in the flip. Each flip has a bar code sticker stuck on the reverse so that that will have to be broken to get the coin out. Makes it hard if you bought three at once in order to keep one and sell the other two. It also means that most likely it might be hard down the line to get an original COA folder with it for the coins that are sold. I will have to take pics of it sometime.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the polar bear is actually the obverse. The queen is actually the reverse of Canadian coins?
Should have my 6 waiting for me at a Canadian address by now. Will probably be another six weeks before I'm back up there to grab them. By that time they'll likely be sold out at the mint! Couldn't bring myself to pay $26 to ship 6 coins here when I could pay $6 in shipping and get my hands on them a bit later. Planning on selling most of them anyway, so the longer I wait the better, I figure. I'm guessing these sellout faster than the previous 2 offerings. Less than 25 days wouldn't surprise me.
Ordered Feb 02, now still processing as of Feb 09 at the website, This is extremely frustrating. Im in the north east of America, its been 7 days, is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Do you actually receive a Fedex tracking? This is BS service for $13 charged
I ordered mine on Jan 31 and they arrived yesterday, the 8th of Feb. And yes, it was Fedex. You'll probably get yours tomorrow.
I called the Reps and they said my order has not been shipped out yet. it will take 3 weeks total to receive. Thats INSANE!!
I never got working tracking even in my shipping email which had a link, they just showed up on my porch one day dropped off by fedex.
