Either in this thread or the other ASE 25th Anniv. thread I cited, or at least alluded to, an article I read a few years back that estimated that there are approx. 2.5 million serious ASE collectors. Now I don't remember if this was just proofs, Uncircs, or what and I can't seem to relocate that article but the point is that with a release as small as 100,000 for the 2011 P and S, there are easily 25 people for every one coin that exists. That is certain to drive up the price of these sets especially as Christmas nears. I predict that the price of the aftermarket sets will start dropping or level out around February. What price they eventually realize is anybody's guess.

As you point out, there are people like myself that bought multiple sets so we are talking roughly maybe half of the 100,000 or more going to the same people. That has got to drive the prices into the stratosphere. I'm keeping three of my sets and selling the remaining two when the price gets high enough. The only thing I am interested in is recovering my original investment of 1,500 so if the price per set ever reaches 750, I am selling. I hate paying for my own coins.
