I have come to the conclusion that until I have those sets in hand,. I would feel devastated if my transaction was rejected and my order canceled because of that. And i'm sure others would feel the same. So be proactive![/QUOTWell, I'm on your side as my order number is 38325XXX, quite a bit later than yours. I will say one positive thing, I've order many things from mint that show backordered, such as Lincoln Chronicles, and have received everyone. Only once was there a slight problem and I was forced to reduce the number of items. Never have I lost out. They are pretty good at counting to the available number. Wish they were as good at taking the orders. Read where one customer got in quickly using Chrome, think I'll load it.

 

On the Lincoln chronicles set I got a sorry we can't fulfill e-mail from the mint, then next thing you know they charged my card and I got my set. So those that placed an order on the waiting list may still have a chance.

 

Chrome is fast and I like it, but if you are social, try RockMelt. It uses chrome but has an app edge and a friends edge and is Facebook integrated

 

Indeed. I get the feeling a lot of the coin flipping orders will be kicked out.

 

Good for most, bad for those few.

SO that means if your order still says "on hold", you will get a set?

you should, they are processing all of the orders. Double checking for errors,bad CC or over limit orders.

 

On hold doesn't mean anything except that the order has not been processed.
The orders will be filled in the order they were received. When they reach your order, if they have product available they will process and ship. If they have run out, the order will be cancelled.

 

Some on the PCGS forum are reporting that eBay has changed presale rules and had removed many of the 25th anniversary sets, although some do still remain. Not sure what all this means. TC

 

Wow this must have just happened... down to 18 Auction listings...

 

Stupid ebay, always messing with the rules. I guess its not a bad Idea... Lot of money to give a seller, they dont want problems from pre sales.

 

Looks like that is driving up the prices on those auctions still left...a single set going for $600+ now.

 

I use chrome all the time. Much faster in my estimation......

 

I bought 5 sets and it completed yesterday at 4:50pm est.
I even got an email confirmation.
I was probably the last person to get it.
I kept trying on the website for 5 hours and bingo! It was like winning the lottery! lol
I have a status of held/backorder/ship date 11/11
I hope it all gets processed so I can get my pretty coins...

 

I was manually dialing 1 800 872-64864 on two phones. i dialed the wrong number about 5-6 times, after 4 hours and a billzion calls, I get a new voice message and almost hungup I figured I'd never get my five sets. about 4:30pm got them on hold now.

 

+++ Hello, we purchased four sets. However, they were not sold out within 4 1/2 hours as stated. We can prove this by the timestamp. They were available until around 6:00 P:M. The cite apparently crashed, and I ordered by phone. My nephew ordered online and managed to order. We are not posting our order number, thank you.
