2011 ASE 25th Anniversary Set (A25) - Order thread

ALRIGHTY THEN WILL DO LIKE TO KNOW WHERE THE ORDERS STOPPED TODAY i talked with a rep last night and he said i was never on a wait-list?? guess he knew also said they had many many more to fill ( in warehouse) he was only one that i felt knew what he was talking about when i get them in my hands i will feel lots better now just to get yours moving!

Much to my surprise, I have checked the US Mint website for order status and confirmation and I have a $1499.75 charge on my MasterCard for five sets. My order was placed just after 5 pm ET and is in the low 80000s.

I have not yet decided whether or not to sell my sets. I may keep them as a numismatic investment of sorts. I am not a fan of certification and/or third-party grading, so I doubt I will ever have them shipped off to some company to confirm grades I could figure out quite well by myself after 40+ years of collecting.

$1,500 for 5 sets plus $750 grading= $2,250. 70 sets are selling below $2,000. Consensus is won't get a set of 70's from 25 coins anyway.

Someone on another thread posted their NGC results. 24 70's and 1 69.

 

Some think these are the open sets that big dealers cherrypicked the 69 and 70's, which leads to these inflated numbers.

Go to PCGS own site and read today's post from regular guys that sent in a SEALED box of 5 sets. Most are reporting maybe 5 are 70's.

Great to see so many get "in stock and reserved" today. Went from 38379XXX (5:06) to 38382XXX (5:38). I'm at 38385XXX (5:44). Hope I'm as lucky and airraid1999 (congrats)..

The date has moved from 12/05/2011. However, I am seeing the possibility of a maybe "In stock and reserved" soon (I hope) after reading that they're getting closer to my number

Order #383813XX 05:20. "In stock and reserved". My status hasn't changed since yesterday (although the cancel box is gone). No tracking number yet, no shipping email.

I'm guessing there must be a lot of Mint staff out for the holidays. There hasn't been any further posts from other collectors about their status changing to "in stock". It seems further fulfillments have slowed to a trickle. It will be interesting to see how many more sets ship out. I'm guessing they might be getting down to the final available sets, but it's only a guess.

I wish all the very best to the rest who are still on the bubble. I'd also like to wish all a great Thanksgiving. Hopefully more good news for others next week.
