It sounds to me like you're going to get your order filled.

I think a lot of orders were canceled by the Mint and by successful buyers who had early buyer's remorse.

I thank you for your kind words of encouragement.

I'm thinking things might start to get interesting on Wednesday or Thursday. I'm thinking the address confirmation letters would needed to have been returned by now. The Mint will probably give a couple of extra days for the USPS to deliver those letters. If those letters went out on the 28th, the ten day cut-off has been reached.

I'll assume many orders below my number have been on hold pending receipt of the address letters, but showing "in stock and reserved". As those orders begin to get cancelled due to the address confirmation letter not having been received, it should start to free "wait-list" orders above the 3838XXXX sequence.


My guess is, the Mint will be nearing the final 100,000th set, but lower numbered orders will begin to lose their reserve status so the Mint will slow down shipping in order to match the final orders with the final sets.

I recieved the same strange e-mail yesterday. I am a mint subscrption customer, but had my order go on hold for a day or two. The message had about six blank lines and then listed the status of my order "in process" as listed on the web tracking page. My order is 38386xxx, so I guess today is make or break day.

 

i received my 3835 order yesterday. the 38390 order i placed for my friend is still backordered and the expected ship date has now slipped to 11/30.

 

Good to see that people still have hope for their set. They truly are a nice set of coins.

 

Got to have hope! no cancellation email yet, order 38382xxx still in process shipping 11/30.

 

You bet! I'm not giving up either even tho theres a very small chance I'll get them with #38394xxx -its still on backorder.

 

I received my 3836 order yesterday. !!

Has anyone received anything from 3837? 3838? how about "in stock" ?

 

38377xxx made reserve status yesterday. I can just imagine seeing 'em sitting on the shipping floor with my name. I never thought I would make it, so I wish everyone all the luck I have had so far.

Mine was 4:54 and JimOfOakCreek 38378xxx was 5:02

Both say their orders are ISR - In Stock and Reserved.

Mine changed to "Shipped" this morning.

 

This thread seems to be where all the action is, or at least running neck and neck with one other here on CT, as the best place for people to follow what's going on, and where in the line they stand. There have been several of you guys that have done a great job of keeping everyone informed and up to date. Good luck to ALL!

Just a quick note to recognize the challenging situation this has presented to the Mint. I believe the Mint is doing their best to fairly process all requests. Thank you to all the Mint CSR's who have had to endure our incessant inquiries.

 

Indeed. Usually the CV has outrageous prices for their coins.

 

Received mine yesterday (Order 38366XXX). Out of 4 sets, only 1 capsule was out of the holder and was not tight - could hear a rattle when shook. All others were tight in the holder. As far as quality only 3 have very slight imperfections...2 very small nick/scratch and 1 small line of some sort on a proof. All others look great. The imperfections are really small and would only bother some - I showed the coins to some friends and nobody caught them. Then I challenged them to find the imperfection...only 1 person found it.

Overall, I'm certainly happy with the results. Had to open them, no grading. They're for us to enjoy in OGP.
