I would be back on the phone to them, and explain that you got 2 order numbers on the same cart. Hopefully they can get it fixed quickly. You might have to call a couple times to get somebody that knows what they are doing.

Did that the night it was released....
They said all is well then, now and 3 times in between.
just cannot figure out what the lapse is in ordering process.

I though so too, I spent a long time adjusting the reverses so that they line up and then wondering why the lady walks up and down the hills. There is definitely something off there, and I thought it is the reverse proof a first, but now I think the bullion that is next to the reverse proof is the one that is off. Or possibly the reverse roof is a bit rotated one way and the bullion the other way.

GoldIRA posted a great video of him unpacking his sets, and from what I saw in his video there shouldn't be any problems with them being banged around. At least not if you got 5 sets. I have only heard second or third-hand about the contents being banged around, and have not heard anyone say directly that they had problems.

I ordered 7 minutes after you did, and my order number began with 38330, and I already have my coins.

I'd also tell them that you called when it happened, and they said all is fine, so they don't try to pull something over on you. This is the first time I've seen anything like this.

Maybe someone else has heard of this before???

Order placed at 104pm EDT 38334XXX and got shipping notice from UPS earlier today, tracking# from them is still not working. I think my distribution center is in Missouri or Indiana...I live in Iowa so should I still expect these tomorrow?

There are a lot of problems with this only because my order still shows in process and it should have moved beyond that when the CC was tapped. I have been dealing with the mint since the mid 50,s and there always seems to be something with them. They have bent me over more than once and on a few occasions I have swore to never deal with them again. Lets not light the candles and blow up the balloons yet.

Large accounts like the Mint generate the tracking # themselves when they create the label. The tracking # won't become active until UPS scans it.

Just pulled this off the web from the coin analyst,s weekly column.

Late in the day on November 7, the Mint changed the order status for many customers’ orders to “in stock and reserved” and began charging buyers’ credit cards, which is generally not done until orders are ready to ship, or will ship within a couple days.Probably as a result of this development, e-Bay has reinstated some pre-order auctions for the sets. I found 10 auctions with buyers stating their orders were “in stock and reserved,” but last week before the policy change there were hundreds of auctions.[IMG]Louis Golino is a coin collector and numismatic writer, whose articles on coins have appeared in Coin World, Numismatic News, and a number of different coin web sites. PCGS and NGC handle the FS/ER thingy very differently. PCGS goes by the ship date on sealed mint packages and will accept submissions for First Strike labeling virtually forever. It appears to still be possible to get FS labels for 2006 20th anniversary sets in sealed boxes shipped on or before October 24, 2006. The ship date cutoff for the 25th set is November 27. Just pay $18 per coin on top of all other fees.

For ER labels from NGC, which are free, coins must arrive at NGC by the cutoff date (I am not sure what date they have set but I think it is also the 27th) and for large customers they will hold coins for up to a year from the release date before grading and slabbing with FS labels.

Silverman... rotation has to be way more than that to be an error. A few degrees is just the die shifting around as they wear. If it gets up to 45 degrees, it starts becoming more attractive but the point where it is considered an error is probably coin and TPG dependent.

NGC has posted the cutoff date as December 8th as the date coins must reach them to get ER labels so that provides some breathing room.

I'm amazed that there exist people who actually pay more for these worthless labels....I'm not the brightest bulb, but dumb money sure finds strange outlets. What would really be neat is for the US Mint to sell first strike coins of their own to the public (charge a premium for coins guaranteed to have been within the first few hundred struck on a new pair of dies). Then 'first strike' would have some meaning/credibility and true value, as the product would have better attributes (sharper strikes, better cameo contrast, etc.).

NGC is putting ER on all labels unless you request to not have it. not costing NGC members anything more than normal cost.

Think there will be any notable varieties/errors from this series? Or does the low mintage and small number of dies make this unlikely?

I got my box of five today. My order got through at 12:20 PM and somehow I got sets one through five minted. Ok, I'm wishing. I'm looking at the box of five on my table that is now worth north of three grand and wondering what to do. I'm like a kid looking at presents under a tree. I really want to open it but I also may want to send it to NGC for grading. I'm perplexed. Is anyone else in this conundrum?
