I have not seen a dozen with no bids, but this morning was slow. since then i have seen at least ten end above 600.

ebay prices are always all over the place. but it is safe to say that the low is around 550 and high around 650. as of now.

I'd like to see some links to these dozen auctions...

If the auction ends because the seller or ebay cancels it, it will probably still show up in the completed listings. Also if there is a crapload of auctions & buy it nows for the same product ending at the same time, some will slip through with low or no bids. Always happens with hot products.

I have seen many concluded auction finish above $600 per set and above $2850 for five. I'm not sure what eBay is or isn't doing but there are certainly many being sold.

I hope I can get five of these bad boys.

Hey guys. I have a poll going over in Coin chat about what everybody's motivation was for buying sets of these. It's pretty interesting so far. I just gave it a bump. If anybody here hasn't seen it, go check it out and vote.

I was curious, so I checked recent actual sales numbers for the 2006 ASEs.
I found it interesting. There are so many different label combinations it will make you dizzy.
These aren’t precise scientific numbers. I averaged in my head.
I didn’t do NGC, but they were considerably less.

    2006 ASE Set - OGP Box Unopened = $731.00

    2006 ASE Set - OGP - Opened = $320.00 (Oct 23rd)
2006 ASE Set - OGP - Opened = $670.00 (Most recent sale) Going UP over last 2 weeks

    2006 ASE PCGS MS-70 = $260.00
    2006 ASE PCGS MS-70 20th Anniversary = $800.00
    2006 ASE PCGS MS-70 (FS) 20th Anniversary = $1500.00

    2006 ASE PCGS MS-70 Burnished = $260.00

    2006 ASE PCGS PR-70 = $95.00
    2006 ASE PCGS PR-70 (FS) = $110
    2006 ASE PCGS PR-70 20th Anniversary = $175.00

    2006 ASE PCGS PR-70 Reverse Proof 20th Anniversary = $440.00
    2006 ASE PCGS PR-70 Reverse Proof (FS) 20th Anniversary = $660.00

colligoergosum I collect, therefore I am

If they are going to change the design, I hope they keep the obverse but change the reverse completely. The eagle has always looked strange to me, top heavy and kind of heart shaped.

I agree. And much prefer the old classical designs, eg, the eagle from the Saint Gaudens twenty dollars gold coin or some of the others classical eagle images.
