Yes, I am thinking of buying the AGE proof set, and then re-selling them to APMEX, just make some quick bucks instead of long-term investment. But not sure if that's possible. What I see is that the 2010 Platinum Eagle was sold at $1795 by the Mint to the public, and after it was sold out, now APMEX is selling it at $2395. So, maybe APMEX would welcome this kind of re-sell? Just a thought.

With stated mintage limits and no 2009 Proof W AGE coins, and the rising price of gold, it seems some of these might do well on the flip/secondary right at the holiday.
I've enjoyed the flip. Buy two, one ends up free has been good to me. But I won't be flipping a 4-coin gold set. If I were to even spring for one, one is what I'd settle for, for myself.
now it's over $1,350.00/oz. if the average stay that way. then the prices of u.s. mint products will be adjusted as ff: 2010w AGE one ounce gold proof - $1,635.00 2010w AGE half ounce gold proof - $831.00 2010w AGE 1/4 ounce gold proof - $428.00 2010w AGE 1/10 ounce gold proof - $185.50 2010w 4 pc set gold proof - $3,030.50 2010w FS 1/2 oz gold proof - $854.00 2010w FS 1/2 oz gold unc - $841.00 2010w AGB one ounce gold proof - $1,660.00
The United States Mint will not offer the following products in 2010: the one-ounce American Eagle Silver Uncirculated Coin; the one-ounce American Eagle Gold Uncirculated Coin; and the United States Mint Annual Uncirculated Dollar Coin SetTM, which would have included a one-ounce American Eagle Silver Uncirculated Coin.
first spouse buchanan liberty is timing when it release at a good price. the AGE gold proof series saw saw. and the ASE proof dollar offer price was set before silver went up by more than 10%. or else the mint should have sell them at $49.95 each or even higher, and unfortunate one is the upcoming 5 oz. silver. what price it can be?. $160 to $200?. or over $200.00. well. people forgot the 2010 clad and silver proof set. mint set and those quarter sets. 2009 and 2010 seem few as compare to all other years. watch out. first spouse julia seem to be the winner. i think from 2007 to 2010. she is the most "few mintage" by far. no wonder the price for julia skyrocketed. over all the present winner is not the key date or few mintage coins. the bullion coins is the actual winner at present time. just a thought. good buy and good luck to all.
if we are buying modern commemorative silver dollar proof at $43.95 each from the mint. then the silver spot have to reach $56.83 per ounce. in order to equal its bullion value. now the current spot price is $24.42 an ounce.
does anyone know on usually on what weekday does the Mint revise its PM product prices? Last time was a Wednesday afternoon I remember, right before the release of the 2010 AGE on Thursday.
