I owe it all to Google and Redbook and Elaine and my fellow CTers... and the key grip, the third assistant chef to the director... :eating: :rolling: :D

The numbers on that site I linked to are the same as those published in the 2010 RedBook. There could be some deviation from that number one way of the other if that figure turns out to still be the Mint sales figures, and supposing none were returned, melted, whathaveyou, but if the number isn't exact Elaine may be able to correct it for us based on her data. :thumb:

Also, RedBook, which is usually said to be as much as 20% over current values of you should pay, quotes $45 for the 2004-W Proof ASE. Less that 20% is $36. The current year subscription for 2009 Proof ASEs IF they come out from the mint are currently set at $31.95.

Here's the FMV from NumisMedia on a 2004 W Proof ASE

So in other words paying $45.00 for a slabbed 2004W PCGSPR70DECAM is too much! I will try to get him down to the $36.00 price you quoted THANKS!

If you can get the coin down from $45 that's great, but the seller is probably factoring in slab fees to that price. Still if you have the opportunity to haggle on the price give it a try, maybe $40 with shipping included, if you are having this sent to you. Dunno, see what you can get, let us know.

I got it for $35.00 but I had to buy 2 of them to get that price. Both are PCGS70 slabbed

As you may be able to tell, the photos show a "W" on the coin

then you are lucky. some small dealers really don't check the current prices. they are counting their low cost and sell it to who ever want it.

it look like the mint gold products will come down again to last week prices. gold average right now at $996.97 for four days. tomorrow is a deciding day. i think it will go down.

You did well Yankee, congrats. Maybe you should try to list one of the two coins you like least for sale and see if you can't make some money back someday, around the holidays or at a later date if/when silver moves up again.

It will be interesting to see UHR sales figures in the next couple weeks if this influences significantly more sales or not.

krispy. i think you got a lot of UHR double eagle gold. that is why you are so concern about this item. well. i tell you mine. at first. my plan is to have 25 pc. but then spouses gold were so tempting. mintage were quite low. so i got 12 spouses. that is equal to 6 UHR. so i still have a pending of 19 pc UHR. and i am no rush on this one. the mint initial plan is to produce 300,000 pc. but the mint failed. right now my estimate is around 125,000. i will wait for gold to go down between $800 to $850. then i buy them. or else i will get another 38 spouses gold.

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I haven't yet bought any UHR coins for my collection. I'm in no hurry to buy but plan to acquire just two for my collection: one in Mint packaging (which I would buy direct from the Mint, this year) and one TPG graded, which I will buy at a later date when I find what I like. I'm in no rush to buy, however, IF gold is to drop as low as $800-850/oz., then that would certainly increase my decision of when to buy the UHR or any gold coins. By the way, what happened to your $1250 - $1350/oz high range by the end of the year? Do you still think that it will achieve a new high around those figures? And when do you see there being a shot at this $800-850/oz.?
