77,799 for UHR double eagle. some even predicted 100,000. i think 80,000 to 85,000.

If they keep selling 3,000 a week, 100,000 will be an easy mintage to achieve.

Overall, it will still be a low mintage coin. 20 years from now, there will be a large group of collectors who will want this coin and be willing to pay prime money to acquire it. And if nothing else, it is a tremendous coin to hold in your hand. For anyone who has never held one of these, you don't know what you are missing. I promise you that once you hold one, you will be impressed. Its just a solid hunk of gold beauty.

UHR palladium will consist of 15,000 maximum proof coin and 15,000 maximum uncirculated coin. what if the mint produce proof UHR double eagle gold?. why the mint did not produce it?.

UHR double eagle sales figure keep rising due to no competition from american eagle or buffalo around. there is no choose. only spouses left to compete UHR.

I showed mine to my 83 year old Mom. I let her open the box and go through the process of taking the coin out. She was thrilled by the beauty of this piece. And she has seen a lot of impressive trinkets in her lifetime.

I hope they keep buying up the UHR...if it keeps them away from my "little ladies".

I got one and it's spectacular!

I read in a recent coin magazine (the one with the new silver proof sets on the cover) that "distribution" affects "price appreciation".

They were discussing why the 2001 silver proof set sells for twice the 2002 silver proof set...when their mintages are almost the same. They conclude that the 2001 sets cost more because they are more widely distributed and, thus, less available to purchase.

I suspect dealers are making a good number of the UHR purchases
...especially now since they lifted the limit. 80,000+ seems like an awfully high number of individual sales ...especially during a recession.

If there's any truth to the "distribution" theory...and dealers are making the bulk of the purchases, then it may take a little time before the UHR appreciates significantly..."20 years" seems about right.

i don't have one. i just don't like the smaller diameter and thickness. i still prefer american eagle and buffalo fractional gold.

Don't get me wrong elaine, those are very nice to hold too, but you are missing out if you haven't held the UHR in your hands.

You know during the Olympics when the US fans are chanting U-S-A... I can't get this U-H-R chant out of my head. It looks so beautiful! I even have a book already purchases, that I picked up from eBay. People are selling the cast off books and boxes for pretty cheap (minus the coin).
    U-H-R... U-H-R... U-H-R...:)

Ken, you and I need to take Krispy by the hand and bring him down to the US Mint so he can buy the UHR. ;) Just purely from a collectors stand point, you need to own this coin and you need to do it now! Very unlikely that you will find it cheaper than it is now and buy all accounts on both this site and others, it does appear that the US mint will be increasing their prices tomorrow. I got my FS order in today but was only able to get one. :(

You havent received it yet???? If you indeed received it before the march 11 deadline (or the box is postmarked 11 march or earlier) for First Strike PCGS you can send the sealed box to them for the First Strike designation. The MS70's are going for around $2200-2400

LOL! Well I made it through the night without buying and it's the next morning, 8am... and the UHR is still available without a price change (yet)... can't say what next week will bring. ;) And I'm really not holding out for a cheaper price at all, totally don't expect it to drop.
