elaine, What constitutes a 'big dealer' to you? Which among these 'big dealers' do you actually buy from? Many 'big dealers' come with big over spot prices or premiums on their US Mint products over that of other gold products. Further, are you suggesting by your comment, that you can get the same coin from these 'big dealers' at better prices than you can get the same coin from the US Mint? Buying "gold coin" and US Mint gold products is often not the same thing.

to cut short. i will not buy the (w) mint mark. bullion gold is better right now. premium is lower than the u.s.mint collector's products. big dealer like northwest territorial mint.

Style guys....it's Elaines "Style". It is truely unique and I feel there is nothing wrong with it.

Which is (almost?) always the case, so that's not really news worthy of your earlier comment.

Thanks. Northwest is similar to apmex but i haven't bought from them. they're both about the same service with an automated web site for individuals. not sure what their price breaks are for shipping fees compared to apmex but they do have certain limits in which I know you get free s/h in the US. I think these companies are good for some of the people who have been inquiring about how much to pay and where to safely do business.

and perhaps its even style by default as not all persons on CT let alone anywhere, have English as their first language so it can be tough to communicate certain things or even at length. It can be hard to adjust to having to read into what each other is trying to say but at the same time be very careful when choosing words for how they can be taken by others reading them. seems choice of words can lead to misinterpretation and speculation as to the nature of a comments intent. PMs are volatile topics and they generate a lot of chat, so gotta try to be precise with diction. :)

I recommend Northwest too, I have 19 ozs from them, but I never got it from their site. They do have good deals for bulk orders, which I cannot afford.

Not saying anything wrong. Just raises my curiosity. Must say I enjoy her input in the bullion camp.

Getting back to the subject- Now that the limit is ten per household is anyone buying a second one? I got one but don't think I want another.
The coin is in a safe deposit box but the wooden box is at home here cause it won't fit in the safe deposit box. Big hoop-de-la box.

Did you see in Coin World where they mentioned that there is possibility of the mint producing a two coin box if a palladium coin is minted? That would be awesome!!! If I am not mistaken, this box is something that would be purchased separately so that the gold coin, that was purchased earlier in the year, could be added. Sounds neat.

I can do without the box. It must be at least $50 tacked on to the $1,289 total price of the gold. I would rather pay $1,239 and they can keep the cumbersome box.

UHR double eagle can easily break 80,000. the mint allow 10 per family. that could boost the mintage higher.
