there is a possibility that the palladium UHR eagle coin will be pass by congress.

 

I would like to see the St. Gauden's Indian Head ($10 obverse & the Flying Eagle Reverse in UHR Palladium/plat or gold.Their is a pattern coin of this double eagle design that St. Gauden originally wanted struck.Unfortunately he died never seeing his masterpieces come to fruition.

I liked it so I bought it. PCGS price list says $1400 I paid $675. Very few are graded at 70 by PCGS. Someday in the future I might make a buck or two on this coin. Few collect plats. I guess the cost is too high for some but who knows that may change someday.(I HOPE)

 

Plat is an under priced metal due to the amount mined,the coin will be a good long term investment,sit on for a few years,or better yet never sell it !

 

elaine, would you post a link to the current palladium UHR info? Last I checked it was dead in the water in the last session of Congress.

2009w .995 fine palladium UHR st. gaudens $20.00 double eagle will be struck this year. maximum mintage at 15,000 each for proof and unc version.

UHR double eagle jumped to 75,048.

 

right now it is better to buy gold coin from big dealers. because buying any gold from u.s.mint will be very expensive. the mint is using the price chart. which is too high. i stop buying gold from the mint. and unless the mint lower down one bracket or two.
